Love the Present…

I saw this lettered on a store window this afternoon:

I saw that, and it made me think….

Shouldn’t we do exactly that?  Love the present? Now, being that this sign was on a store window, I’m sure they mean present as in gift.  But I’m thinking present as in Right Now! Shouldn’t we love the present moment, enjoy it, be grateful for it?  Shouldn’t we be loving our time with family, friends, celebrating the True meaning of Christmas, rather than worrying about what gift we might get (for ourselves or someone else…)?   Not that I’m against gifts, or anything.  I’m just suggesting a shift of focus & definition for the word ‘present’.

Just a thought…

You are definitely onto something! The present is all we are guaranteed. Nowhere is there is a promise that we will see tomorrow. Thanks for the inspiration!
