Last week, I opened up the mailbox, and found a little love inside. (Have I ever told you how much I hate the mail? There’s never anything good in there except more junk and clutter to sort through and deal with. Sigh.) But on this day, amid the junk mail, was a pretty little card from a friend. Inside it, a short, sweet, inspiring note. That note totally made my day. Actually, that note of encouragement actually made my next couple of days.
It got me thinking about the friends across the country that I love and miss and wish I could invite over for a cup of coffee. It made me want to bless those friends with the same kind of encouragement. And so, one card arriving in my mailbox last week became five cards in my mailbox going out today:
It’s so much fun sending and getting snail mail from someone you actually care about! I regret that I can’t send old-school cards to each and every one of you reading this blog (though I would like to!), so this is my online note of encouragement and thanks, just for you:
Dear friends and readers:
I am so very thankful and humbled to have you here reading my words. I am blessed to share this online space with you, and I am so very glad you are here. Having you here encourages me, inspires me, and reminds me to always be intentional. May you be encouraged, inspired, and intentional as well…this week & always.
