Blessed are those…
who learn
to say no…
Even to things
that are:
good,
helpful,
needed,
or even enjoyable.
For theirs is the kingdom of
un-overwhelm-ed-ness.
Ok. Over-whelm-ed-ness….Not a word, I admit.
And not exactly what Jesus said either.
But I bet he’d agree that we overwhelm ourselves needlessly when we only need to focus on Him…
Something to think about…

I’ve gotten better about saying no, but I still need to work on it. “Un-overwhelm-ed-ness” sounds like a wonderful word to me!
Love, love, love this post this morning. Brilliant!
Oh Michelle, I so needed to hear this today. This is such a tough lesson for me to get. My pastor always says, You have to say ‘No’ to the good, to be able to say ‘YES’ to the best. Thanks!
Wow, I just used that non-word in an email! Right before coming here! Your post today feels like an affirmation, a drink of cool, clear water! God’s blessing me through you this morning, for sure! Thanks for being His willing channel for its flow! And blessings back to you!
Love it!
Confirmation to me as well. Now to execute the “no”. Or more correctly to “back out” of the “yes”. Oi vey!
“No” is a very powerful word. Thanks for the reminder.
wise words!! Some I need to remember daily
Words filled with wisdom, my friend! Saying “no” is difficult for me, but I’m learning.
Looking forward to seeing you in a few days!
Yes, such good thoughts and reminders. Saying “no” is very difficult, but is needed. With wisdom and help from God!
Love it! I just found your blog today on a link up page a friend of mine has on her blog. Just became a new subscriber to your blog I like what you are doing here and could relate to a lot of it, since I have some sort of similar goals with my blog. Looking forward to seeing what comes next and thank you for doing this link up! ~Rebekah
I seldom say no anymore! Great thoughts to ponder though!
