It’s the middle of summer. It’s crazy hot outside. We’re into our third week of 100+ degree days here in Texas. It’s too hot to go out and ride bikes. Too hot for the tree fort. Too hot for the park. Too hot for a mid-summer camping trip. Or is it?
An indoor campout is fun. Unusual. Intentional. A little unexpected fun to break up the monotony of long, hot summer days. Not to mention the upsides of indoor camping: staying in the AC, sleeping under a ceiling fan, being next door to the kitchen & bathrooms, and no need to do all that work packing and lugging everything to your campsite. And it’s all bug free, too! S’mores anyone?

How fun! We have done the full, tent in the livingroom campout before and my kids liked it as much as camping outside. That’s one way to beat the heat! Stay cool!
